No Doubt Sphere Onstage Guest: Just A Girl Singer Lives the Dream

The entire Just A Girl family is absolutely buzzing with excitement for our fearless leader, Andrea Esperanza Martinez. We’ve always known she was born for the spotlight, but seeing her live out the ultimate dream moment as the No Doubt Sphere onstage guest was something truly special. At No Doubt’s massive debut reunion show, in front of thousands of screaming fans, the unthinkable happened: the real Gwen Stefani pulled Andrea up on stage. Dressed in her iconic Gwen-inspired gear, Andrea stood side-by-side with her idol, representing every fan who has ever found their voice through this music. We are so incredibly proud to see her hard work and passion culminate in such a legendary, high-energy milestone.

Andrea wrote on her Instagram: “If you would’ve told me at 8 years old, that one day I would be standing on stage with my favorite band of all time, I wouldn’t have believed you. When I first heard “Just A Girl” on the radio, I begged my dad to let my younger siblings ( @el.eric_ & @kikamartinezmusic ) and I to start a band, so we could play @nodoubt songs. So that’s what we did. We learned all the hits and even some b sides. Us kids (along with my dad on guitar) played school events, house parties, corporate events, and bars. I was teased in school for dressing like Gwen, and for trying to sing and emulate her. I didn’t care, I loved doing it. Something about becoming Gwen gave me confidence and strength that I didn’t have in my everyday life. I eventually let this talent go, because I never thought anything would come of it. Who would ever hire a Mexican girl to play Gwen? Then one day, a member of @nodoubt took me on a date to see No Duh (wild, I know). 5 years go by, and then I get the opportunity to audition for No Duh. The rest, you already know… Now, I have my own band @justagirltribute with my loving partner (and baby daddy), and it’s been the most incredible thing to ever happen to me. He bought our tickets so that I could have quite possibly my last chance to ever see them again (I love you so much)… I honestly didn’t expect any of this. I can’t even describe to you how this feels or what this means to me. I’m bursting with joy and happiness, and I’ve been sobbing ever since I got off that stage… @gwenstefani I have loved you my entire life. I love everyone in this band so much. You’re all the reason why my family became musicians. All I ever want to do is honor my favorite band, with every fiber of my being. With all my heart and soul. Thank you for giving me a beautiful childhood. Thank you for giving me the gift of confidence and strength. Thank you for your music. Thank you for your kindness. Most of all, thank you for coming together to give us No Doubters these amazing shows at the @spherevegas I will never forget this experience.”
